چکیده

Increasing successful rate of long running transactions is challenging in the heterogeneous environment because business processes become complex and the spanning time are unpredictable. This paper focuses on reducing the failure rate of completing transactions. A novel algorithm for flexible and semantic-based support to executing long running transactions is proposed. The algorithm is to provide a novel management for Web service transactions. The solution is to classify services based on semantics, and provide flexibility by calculation of recommendation. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm can be employed by many transaction protocols to improve the management of transactions. Tentative Hold Protocol is used and combined with the proposed solution to achieve flexibility of execution transactions.

UTML: Unified Transaction Modeling Language

Web transactions may be complex, composed of several sub-transactions accessing different resources including legacy systems. They may also have complex semantics. To deal with complex web applications, transaction design methodologies and tools need to be very flexible allowing for designing web applications from scratch (top-down design), as well as using existing systems or services to compo...

Web Services Workflows - Composition, Co-Ordination, and Transactions in Service-Oriented Computing

Web services can be seen as a newly emerging research area for Service-oriented Computing and their implementation in Serviceoriented Architectures. Web services are self-contained, self-describing modular applications or components providing services. Web services may be dynamically aggregated, composed, and enacted as Web services Workflows. This requires frameworks and interaction protocols ...

WS-CAF: Contexts, Coordination and Transactions for Web Services

There is considerable discussion in the Web services community about how to create composite applications for business process automation. Until recently no one has been focusing on a comprehensive solution to the difficult system-level problems that arise when Web services are combined. The OASIS Web Services-Composite Application Framework (WS-CAF) specifications provide the means to solve co...
